Only the best is good enough

Environment

Mrs Marrett leads all the environmental projects within our school. She takes groups of children out into our school environment to plant, maintain and improve our grounds. She also works with projects.

Within this section you can find out more about the main projects that are underway; our gardening, Eco, School Gardening Projects and the Community Gardening Hub. Take a look at some of the work that has been going on by clicking on the relevant links below.

Don't be a Fool, Recycle at Button Lane School. Elleann Hindley won a school competition with her recycling slogan.

Wildlife Champions

The Eco Committee will be celebrating the achievement of people who look after our wildlife in a special assembly on 11th July 2017 where they will be giving out certificates. This could be about feeding birds, having a pond, growing flowers that attract bees, having a hedgehog friendly garden etc. If you know anybody that you feel fits into that category, send details into the office including name, address & what the award would be for.

Wellies

A big thank you to all parents and carers who have donated wellies to school for the outdoor groups. The children love wearing them in wet and muddy weather! Any more please send in.
