Amazing Autumn!

On Friday 29th September as part of our weekly Wow Time, Reception became Autumn investigator's on our Autumn walk. We looked for signs of Autumn on our school grounds and enjoyed finding natural treasures; using all of our senses to describe what we had found and discussed changes that occur in nature throughout the seasons.

                          La Shana Tova!

On Friday 22nd September we celebrated the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashanah. We learnt about the Jewish way of life and how families celebrate this special time. We enjoyed a traditional Rosh Hashanah snack of apples and honey to welcome a sweet new year.

Teddy Bear's Picnic

On Friday 15th September Reception were invited to a teddy bear's picnic. We all brought in our special bear's from home and enjoyed a lovely afternoon; singing songs, sharing stories and eating a delicious picnic!

Do You Want to be my Friend?

This half term our Learning Project is Do You Want to be my Friend? We will be learning about settling in to life in Reception; making new friends, sharing, taking turns, thinking about what is special about us and our families and similarities and differences with our friends as well as our school rules and expectations.
