Only the best is good enough

Global Council

We are the Global Council. We represent each class from Reception to Year 6.

Our aim is act as a steering group for a Rights Respecting School. We are working together to understand and promote the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. It is our job to help the staff, pupils and parents of our school know about children's rights and respect them. We meet together regularly with Miss Whittaker to choose an article of the month and think about what we can do to make sure our school is rights respecting.

Global Council Meeting Agendas

30.09.19

Take a look at our agenda from today's meeting. We were keen to make notes and get back to class to tell everybody about our new article of the month. We also gave out some roles for ensuring we spread the word about our article of the month via Twitter, the newsletter and in classrooms. Then we designed a poster so that each classroom can display the article of the month alongside their class charter.

A special visitor

We met up with Alagi after his wonderful assembly all about the Gunjur Project in The Gambia to find out more about his charity work. We also shared with him our goals and aims for the International Schools Award and our Rights Respecting Award.
