School Council
At Button Lane, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to share their ideas and help shape school life. Our School Council provides pupils with a meaningful voice and encourages them to work together to make a positive difference across our school community.
Led by Miss Smallbone and Mrs Davis, the School Council meets every week during assembly time. Council members work collaboratively, discuss ideas raised by their classmates and help to develop initiatives that benefit the whole school.
To ensure that all aspects of school life are represented, the School Council is organised into four committees:
- Eco Committee – promoting sustainability and caring for our environment.
- Wellbeing Committee – supporting the health, happiness and wellbeing of our school community.
- Playground Committee – helping to improve playtimes by gathering ideas and making positive changes.
- Curriculum Committee – sharing pupils' views on learning and helping to celebrate and enhance the curriculum.
Through these committees, our pupils develop valuable leadership, teamwork and communication skills while making a real contribution to the continued development of Button Lane.
